The Southern Michigan Adventure Club is a not-for-profit internet based organization developed for the advancement of adventure racing. Currently the club has over 2000 members, making it one of the largest Adventure Racing clubs in the nation and is continuing to grow daily.

The club directs Adventure Racing events as well as offering clinics for its members on the disciplines of adventure racing. In addition the club is used as a source for members to meet people for training and for the formation of teams.

One of the clubs main themes is the emphasis that is placed on teamwork, rather than individual achievement. It's the clubs intention for all of its members, regardless of age or ability, to reach their goals. SMAC tailors its races, clinics and training sessions to allow members a chance to improve and to have fun along the way. SMAC also works toward developing relationships with local parks and recreation areas as well as other not-for-profit organizations.
